What can you expect as a delegate next year?

We've read through every single comment and listened to any feedback to make sure that MRC 2010 is even better than the first. So next year you can expect:

  • A continued commitment to providing a mix of well-respected and knowledgeable speakers from academic and commercial backgrounds
  • Even more case studies revealing practical applications of mobile research
  • More interactivity through panel debates and a 'head to head' session looking at the implications of the decline of fixed line telephones and what that means for mobile research
  • An impressive starting line-up of speakers, whom we're honored to announce as part of the 2010 program:

Guy Rolfe, Mobile Knowledge Leader at Kantar

will focus on where mobile research is heading in the next few years and what we can expect the landscape to look like. Guy Rolfe acts as an evangelist and knowledge hub to help the company's researchers exploit the potential of mobile.

Richard Windle, Global Research Director at Ipsos MediaCT Worldwide

will debate what the decline of the fixed line telephone will mean to market and mobile research. He has more than 25 years' market research experience, specialising in media and particularly in media measurement.

Dr Liz Nelson of Fly Research

founder of Taylor Nelson, pioneer of mobile research in the UK and MRS Gold Medallist will be participating in one of two panel sessions at the event.

Paul Berney, Managing Director Europe of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA)

will discuss 'Has mobile reached its tipping point? data and insight on the growth of the mobile channel'. As the industry's global trade body of the industry the MMA is in a unique position to answer this question.

Mick Couper Ph.D, Research Professor at the University of Michigan.

A hugely influential figure in the study of survey responses, data collection and processes, Professor Couper is currently carrying out research into the design of web surveys.

Ingvar Tjstheim, Senior Research, Norwegian Computer Center

will focus on capturing situations and context in mobile surveys and how to reduce the recall and the out of context problem.

Marek Fuchs, PhD, Professor of Social Science Research Methods at the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany)

Marek is one of the world's leading academics in the field of social research. He has conducted extensive research into methodological aspects of web surveys and the use of mobile phones in survey research.

"I am very excited about the agenda and speakers for MRC 2010. Our objective is to bring the experts together every year to give our delegates the opportunity to really understand the theory and practice of mobile research.
